This coming week is Social Worker's Appreciation week. Help me in thanking Michelle Phillips!  There are so many behind the scene items that Mrs. Phillips does to assist our students, staff and community on a daily basis. We are lucky to have her!!!

We had a very busy week and I appreciate you all very much. Between the ACT, incentive trips, senior meeting, club pictures, Black History month performance, voting field trip, fire drill and more, I truly appreciate everyone for supporting each other and recognizing the importance behind all of these events. 

A reminder that we have a faculty meeting Wednesday morning and interim reports are distributed as well.

It’s Registration Time!  The 2020-21 school year is quickly approaching.  Students are now  meeting with their school counselor between February 24^th through April 17^th  to review their course requests and prepare for next school year.  

The county is exploring bringing Sign Language on to a few schools this coming year. This would count as foreign language credits. With that being said, we would like to know if any students would be interested in taking this class if we included it in our matrix. While this is not definite, if we can show enough interest, we would be able to add this to our schedule. This would not impact our current staffing allotments. Any students that are interested should contact their school counselor immediately.

Thank you for an outstanding job this past week with the curriculum fair!  We will make some minor adjustments for next year based on the feedback we have received. Otherwise, I was inundated with so many comments of appreciation. Thank you.

Tuesday, February 25th is the ACT day for all Juniors. Sophomores and freshmen who met incentives will be on their field trip and seniors will be meeting briefly and will have an early release for additional work on college applications, FAFSA, SAY YES, etc. ALL grade levels report to their homeroom to start the day.

Take note:  Seniors have a challenge ahead of them. Feel free to share the attachment below.
