Week of October 24, 2016

Events of the Week: At the beginning of the year, we decided to allow students to wear their spirit shirts on Fridays for their particular sports. We found it too difficult to try to figure out who is playing on which days to police dress code. This way they still get to wear them and we know the day. I am also allowing Clubs and the Arts to wear their shirts as well on Fridays to promote their programs. All students will always be in dress code bottoms on Fridays. Monday through Thursday, all students should be in dress code unless we state otherwise. I hope this clears up any confusion. I cannot believe the first 9 weeks will be complete this week! Amazingly fast!

- Fall Band Concert from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Oct. 27th
- Fall Chorus Concert from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Oct. 28th
- End of the Grading Period
- Teacher/Staff Appreciation Lunch in Lovett's Room A-106 provided by our PTSA
- PTSA Dinner Night Out at Chick-Fil-A (Palladium) All Day

- Implicit Bias Training has been moved to November 8th at 1:30 p.m. in the Media Center. (Mandated by GCS)
- Please make sure you are updating your grades in PowerSchool weekly
- Make sure you continue to encourage all parents to complete the AdvancEd survey
- Please encourage students to complete their make-up time.
