Week of January 30, 2017

Events of the Week: The counselors and the admin team have worked hard to try to balance class schedules for the spring. Counselors are accepting course change forms until Feb. 3rd. Students with holes in their schedules and who are misplaced will get 1st priority. Let's start this next semester off right and make sure we are enforcing dress code, tardy sweeps, and other school policies. Half way to summer and only 50 days until Spring!

This Week:

- 1st Semester Grades due by 5:00 PM
Feb. 1st
- Faculty Meeting in the Media Center at 7:50 AM
Feb. 2nd
- 9th grade incentive trip
- Report Cards go home. Students report to homeroom at 3:30 PM
Feb. 3rd
- Students and staff can wear RED in support of National Heart Month
- EC Verification Day
- Instructional Meeting 2nd period in Mrs. Barnum's office
- Last day for students to turn in course change forms to guidance

- Make sure grades are complete in Power School by 5:00 PM on January 31st 
- Please check the duty roster so you know when you have duty in the new semester.

Events of the Week: Teachers, please make sure that you complete your Mid-Year PDPs. We want to make sure everything is completed and signed off before January 25th. Also, we will begin second round observations at the beginning of 2nd semester. I know that this is a tough time of year with this crazy weather, but please try to be here all week. It is very difficult to shuffle administrators and proctors for these exams. If you are truly sick, I understand.

Events of the Week: Sorry for the delay in exam information. Not sure why it took so long to make the decision. I am glad that you all get a few more days to work with your students to get them ready for their assessments. Please make sure that you are here and communicate with Karen Meier if you have any issues. The exam schedule is very difficult to put together and we need the effort of everyone to make it run smoothly. Thank you for all you do.

Events of the Week: We just lost a lot of time before the end of this semester. I know many of you were really pushing to get all the information to our students and begin your reviews. Hopefully, we will not have any more inclement weather before or during our exams. No Leadership Meeting this week. We will have our next Leadership Meeting on February 8th.

Jan. 12th
- Winter Chorus Concert at 7:00 PM in the auditorium (Moved from Tuesday Night)

Reminders:
- Make sure grades are updated in PowerSchool. With the inclement weather, we do not have much time left in this semester. 
- Encourage your students that owe time to come before or after school to make up time for their absences.

Week of January 2, 2017

Events of the Week: I hope that everyone had a great holiday with family and friends. We all needed the rest and the break before the long haul till spring break. Tomorrow, January 4th, there is mandatory test training during your planning period. Please make sure that you attend and arrive on time. Since you are receiving your test training tomorrow, we will not our monthly faculty meeting. Please make sure that you double check the duty schedule for this week and also encourage students to make up any missed assignments and assessments. Have a great week.
